My Challenges are Unbelievable, Believe Me!.. Day 15

My Challenges are Unbelievable, Believe Me!.. Day 15

This was my situation a few days ago!

Laptop_broken_screen

1) Laptop – The screen displayed blue warning sheets and so my colleague now has this to work on these issues. It may take up to 2 weeks to do this and upgrade to Windows 7.

2) I have borrowed a laptop but it is very slow but I am trying to write a blog every day.

3) My car has been badly damaged and I am having a Battle Royal with the insurers.

Anyway let me tell you some good news!

  • I should have been writing blogs every day but with all the challenges mentioned above, this had not been possible. Now I am pleased to report that I have caught up with my program of 15 blogs in the first 15 days of August! I want to remind you about Beth Hewitt’s 30 Day Blog Post Challenge? You still have time to sign up now and join in the fun!… Just click the link.
  • My car – at last I have come to an agreement with the insurers and at least that is work in progress with an end in sight!

Google Chrome

  • The borrowed laptop has been a godsend and I have been able do some work but it has been rather slow. However, I changed the server over to Google Chrome and it is working much better.

Now for the “not so good” news!

I may have lost a lot of information as the hard drive on my laptop has been damaged badly and retrieval of stuff might be difficult. Anyway that was a preliminary report this afternoon and so I will have to wait and see! This may be a “two edged sword” – that is, something that can have both favourable and unfavourable results!

  • I know that I was trying to clear out a lot of old folders and files and this process may have done me a favour!
  • On the other hand I could lose the bulk of all my folders etc
  • I believe there may be specialists who could help me at a price!

To those who know me, I am generally an optimistic person and at the end of the day I am sure that in one way or another I will be able to access much information. I will keep you in touch.

Have you had a similar experience with your laptop or computer – please leave your comments below?

  1. Hi John, Interesting article, You have it all going on. It’s great news that you have caught up on the 30 Day Challenge and I also hope that you get your laptop back in good shape to, I know what its like to be without it and as for the borrowed one being slow I can relate to that to, But at the end of the day, We should be grateful for what work it does no matter how slow it may be. Thanks for sharing 😉

Hi Paudie, your message was so kind and encouraging! I know some people will think that everything is against them but I believe these things happen for a reason. I am being tested but nothing will stop me from carrying on with The Game of Tribes – Gavin Mountford. With friends like you we will all succeed. Great stuff. Cheers John
