Is Life Working Out for You. . .?

Is Life Working Out for You. . .?

“I like understanding that things are always evolving, and while there are many things that could be better where I am, it is not really a problem because “where I am” is constantly changing to something better. I like knowing that as I look for the best things around me where I am, those things become more prevalent in my experience.

It is fun to know that things are always working out for me, and as I watch for the evidence of that . . . I see more evidence of that every day.”

I believe in fate – ” one door shuts and another door opens”  but sometimes you need to help your “luck along!”

There are those who just let life pass by, those who make things happen and those who wondered what happened! – which one is your category?

Now do want to make money or not?

  • Do you love your job, but you just know you will need more money to be able to retire in a few years?
  • How did/do you get your home business started – it just seems overwhelming?
  • OR are you just happy to drift along on life’s “ocean waves?”

My life changed when I made a decision to do something about my situation. I was fed up with being fed up! For many years I just worked very hard and kept my nose to the grindstone! I was only focused in one course of action:-

  • To work really hard in order to support my family and mortgage!
  • To build a successful trade association management company
  • To be so busy that I was bound to be successful!

BUT do you know, the only thing that really matters is to focus on your family and I found that out almost too late. I woke up one day to realise that no one really cares how hard you work and strive to achieve great things for them which more often than not over-spills into your most precious periods of time – family time – evenings and weekends and occasionally even encroaching on your family holiday time!

BUT thankfully I was not too late – I have some regrets but you cannot look back but look forward to the future! You cannot cry over spilled milk!

One day it became very clear to me that I could not continue with all this stress of a hectic business and spending little time with my family and friends. PLUS I was officially of retirement age! So let us call it “by mutual agreement” I realised that I had to give up working on the treadmill of life and making way for younger people.

BUT DO YOU KNOW!  – this was the best decision ever made because I realised there is more to life than just working, working and eh working! It felt like being made redundant because as many people will tell you it has given them the opportunity to reconsider their life and their future. It gives them a blank canvass to draw up a plan to highlight what they want to do for the rest of their lives in particular things that they have never really got around to doing. Of course it is different for everyone.

At the end of the door it is up to you to make a decision about changing your way of life or not. The hardest part is knowing when you are 100% ready to make a commitment –   either to stay as you are or take a blind leap into space trusting in your faith and fate to guide you to making the right decision and then acting upon it! This outcome is often derived from the way you have experienced life to date and jumped through many hoops but knowing deep down that things must change!

So I made up my mind that my life must change and what a feeling you get when you make that decision. You have to work on it but suddenly everything comes together and then you know that you have made the right decision!

I discovered “my way forward” earlier this year and I have never looked back. So much has happened and will continue to have a dramatic effect on my life – more time with family and friends. I now work with a great bunch of people and if you want to find out more please just refer to the following:-

    Hi John,

You are so right! Taking action is the cornerstone to our business! Consistent daily action is the only way to get where you “say” you want to go…in the direction of your ultimate dreams. It’s like you say ..there’s those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened, and the difference between those people is ONE thing..A-C-T-I-O-N!!

Life is working very well for me, John!

I do agree with you :) I am a firm believer in luck, but at the same time, I believe we can change our luck/increase our chances by taking action (now, if you want to win the lottery, is it better for you to take the chance and buy the lottery or just wait for the winning lottery ticket to get to you? I think we should go for the first one :D).

If we are not happy about life, change it (well, there are times in which life is working out well, but we perceive it not to, at those times, we need to attain a neutral perspective, see a world from a different point of view – We should all be grateful for who we are).

    Appreciate the post, John!

    Hi Jeevan
Many thanks for all your comments. It certainly inspires me to receive such a message – I feel I am on the track and perhaps about to move out of the station! Thanks again.
